TIG Welding

SteinerZ offers TIG Welding that is perfect for aesthetic, high quality welds on a range of metals

TIG Welding Overview

TIG welding (Tungsten Inert Gas welding), also called GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding), is a precise welding process that uses:

  • A non-consumable tungsten electrode to create the arc
  • An inert shielding gas (usually argon) to protect the weld
  • Optional filler rod added by hand when needed

Unlike some other welding methods, the electrode doesn’t melt. This gives the welder more control over the weld puddle, resulting in very clean, high-quality welds.

Benefits of TIG Welding

TIG welding is best when you need clean appearance, precision control, and high-quality results, especially on thin or specialty metals.

Real-World Applications

CNC Machining is used anywhere durable, high-precision parts are needed, including:

Aerospace components

Precision welding of thin-wall tubing, aircraft frames, and critical structural parts.

Sanitary stainless-steel piping, tanks, and processing equipment.

Clean, contamination-free welds on stainless and specialty alloys.

Exhaust systems, headers, roll cages, and aluminum intercooler piping.

Lightweight, high-strength tubing joints.

Decorative railings, sculptures, and architectural features.

High-quality root passes and code work requiring strong, defect-free welds.
